When I joined nsoro in a marketing role, the foundation was already underway in a website redevelopment. Unhappy with the results of their ongoing process, the executive director reassigned the project to me to overhaul
phase 1: Define project goals and refine brand story
I spent several sessions discussing each team member’s vision of the organization’s story, value proposition and functional priorities for a website
Our visual identity priority was to clearly communicate nsoro’s educational brand with a level of professionalism befit for potential donors and scholarship recipients
Through this process, we identified the most compelling data to put together a narrative of value proposition which I first sketched into paper wireframes
phase 2: Website development
Key functional priorities were determined to be the ability to donate online, the ability for students to apply for scholarships online, and a way to showcase the foundation’s impact across the country
I translated the paper wireframes into digital previews for team consensus and began to build the site in wordpress
Selections of the site are below including an interactive map indicating nsoro’s presence in universities, powered by an integration with Tableau
