Description

With the launch of an innovative new business unit focused on Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), Navigation Capital needed a refreshed visual identity and modern website to match.

objectives

Build brand credibility and investor confidence

Establish Navigation as thought leaders in the SPAC space

Educate readers on the SPAC market

Process

To lay the foundation for a strong brand identity, I conducted in-depth stakeholder interviews with Navigation Capital’s executives and advisors. These conversations uncovered the company’s core value proposition, competitive landscape, and key differentiators—insights that shaped a clear set of brand goals and were distilled into a refined vision, mission, and values framework.

With this strategic identity in place, I crafted a brand narrative designed to articulate the company’s story with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

To reflect this evolved identity visually, I refreshed Navigation Capital’s visual brand, modernizing the look and feel to align with their forward-thinking positioning.

The existing website presented a significant opportunity: it was outdated and not optimized for mobile. I began by drafting a streamlined sitemap, then built out page-by-page content and messaging that brought the brand story to life.

Next, I translated the content into actionable paper wireframes, annotated with design notes to guide user experience and interface decisions.

Because Navigation Capital owns a design firm within its portfolio, I collaborated directly with their in-house web development team, providing them with wireframes, copy, visual assets, and brand guidelines to ensure a seamless execution of the new site.

Description

A 501(c)(3) organization providing scholarships and programs to youth aging out of foster care needed a modernized web presence.

objectives

Craft a compelling narrative to speak to dual audiences of donors and scholarship recipients

Elevate the organization’s visual brand identity

Communicate nsoro’s impact through moving storytelling

Process

When I joined nsoro in a marketing role, the foundation was already in the midst of a website redevelopment. Unhappy with the progress, the executive director reassigned the project to me to reimagine and execute.

I began by conducting a series of in-depth sessions with each team member to understand their vision of the organization’s story, value proposition, and key functional priorities for the website.

Our primary visual identity goal was to convey nsoro’s educational brand with a polished, donor-friendly sensibility that would also resonate with young scholarship recipients.

Functionally, we prioritized three main elements: an online donation system, a scholarship application portal, and a dynamic platform to highlight the foundation’s nationwide impact.

To align these priorities, I synthesized the most compelling data into a cohesive narrative structure, creating paper wireframes that were then translated into digital previews for team feedback. Once approved, I built the site using WordPress, integrating features such as an interactive Tableau-powered map to showcase nsoro’s presence in universities nationwide.

Selections of the site are included below.

Description

With the closing of an acquisition, the owners of AVCtechnologies sought to quickly develop a new brand to unite the business unit with its vision for the future of the company.

objectives

Simplify the site to reflect the brand as a holding company

Make the latest company news more prominent and accessible

Move to a final product quickly

Process

With these goals in mind, I drafted wireframes for the new website in Adobe and proposed content that distilled the work of their two business units and explained the story of AVCtechnologies.

After team review, I moved forward building out the site which we were able to launch within 4 weeks from our initial conversation.
